What is Ayahuasca
This holy plant-teacher opens gateways to the soul. The name Ayahuasca is coming from the language of the Quichua and means (freely translated) “Liana of Souls”.
Ayahuasca is a concoction existing of a combination of two or more plant species and has been used during rituals by several Native American tribes in South and Central America for centuries. Since the beginning of the twentieth century Ayahuasca has also gained notoriety in Western cultures.
Ayahuasca contains DMT (also produced by the human body) and has a MAO-inhibitory effect. Because of this it is strongly advised to use Ayahuasca under guidance by an experience expert in a ritual setting. Also, it is advised to prepare properly, thereby abiding certain dietary rules.
Ayahuasca is known for its purgatory effect on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual areas, while establishing a deep connection with the imperceptible at the same time. In most cases, Ayahuasca consumers feel vivid and reborn after a deep ceremonial experience.
